Summer Horse Camp 2017

EXTREME TRAIL CAMP 2017

Time to sign up for summer horse camp 2017!  Extreme Trail Camp takes place May 29 to June 3 at Carousel O Breeds farm in Montevallo, Alabama.  Campers will learn horsemanship, ride horses, have swim and craft time, and eat some great food!

Kids should bring their riding clothes, boots, helmet, bug spray, swim suit, towel, sleeping bag, pillow, play clothes, and snacks.  Each camper receives a trophy and a camp shirt.  Parents, friends, and family are invited to attend an end-of-camp performance on June 3 at the back arena.  Bring lawn chairs for the performance; Carousel O Breeds will provide the drinks.

Cost for camp is $485 for overnight camp; $450 for day camp; and $75 per day.  For more information, call Libby Shackelford at (205) 533-0432.  And be sure to save your spot by filling out the camp registration form located on the Forms tab of the website.

It’s time to start thinking about signing up for summer camp!

EXTREME TRAIL CAMP at Carousel O Breeds is May 29 – June 3. Go ahead and mark your calendars and be on the lookout for our camp sign-up form coming soon here on the website and over on our facebook page.

Kids have a great time riding, learning horsemanship, swimming, doing crafts, and more!  Every year, we have a great turnout of horse-loving kids who make lifelong friendships while becoming great little horsemen.

Carousel O Breeds is proud to introduce our staff member, Sky Cofer, of Alabaster, Alabama.  Sky is daughter of Cindi and Brett Cofer.  Besides training and instructing at Carousel O Breeds in Montevallo, her accomplishments include:

  • AHSRA Contestant 2015
  • Reserve Youth Timed Events HSC 2016
  • 4-H Regional Qualifier 2016

To continue the introduction of our staff at Carousel O Breeds, meet Stephanie Carter!

Stephanie’s accomplishments include Miss Alabama High School Rodeo Queen, winner of the National High School Rodeo Finals written test, Southeastern Livestock Rodeo Horsemanship winner; 4-H State Champion in Saddleseat, Reining, Poles, and Showmanship. She qualified for 4-H Regionals ten times. She is a former 4-H President and a current 4-H Horse Club Volunteer Leader.  Stephanie is studying pre-law at the University of Montevallo.

Be sure to come out to Carousel O Breeds to meet Stephanie.  She is quite the horsewoman!
